With just five days remaining before the deadline for filing nominations for the upcoming Haryana Assembly Polls, Aam Aadmi Party National Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar stated that alliance talks with Congress are ongoing.
Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, Kakkar highlighted the party's continuous efforts in Haryana and confirmed their full preparedness to contest all 90 seats. "Talks are ongoing. It is too early to say anything right now. Aam Aadmi Party is continuously working in Haryana. Today, Sunita Kejriwal is also organising a jan-sabha. We are fully prepared to contest elections on all 90 seats," she said.
She added that the candidate list for the election would be announced within one to two days. AAP National General Secretary Sandeep Pathak noted that they were awaiting orders from party leadership before making any announcements. "Whoever underestimates us will regret it in the future," he remarked.
The voting for the 90-member legislative assembly in Haryana will be held on October 5, with the nomination deadline set for September 12. Vote counting will take place on October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP formed a coalition government with the JJP, securing a majority with 40 and 10 seats respectively. The Congress won 31 seats. This alliance has since been dissolved.
