The BJP on Saturday demanded that Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena recommend a CBI probe into the alleged financial mismanagement by the AAP government concerning the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University (DSEU).
In response, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) accused the BJP of fabricating allegations to tarnish its image following the so-called liquor scam exposure. Leader of Opposition in Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, expressed concerns in a letter to the LG about the misuse of public funds, particularly relating to DSEU and questionable consultancy expenditures between 2020 and 2023.
The AAP dismissed Gupta's charges as a poor attempt to defame their globally recognized education model. Gupta's letter also pointed to a massive recruitment scam within DSEU and alleged critical understaffing in both teaching and non-teaching sectors. He also raised concerns about the World Class Skill Centre initiative and other universities facing similar challenges.
