Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday attended the passing out parade at the Telangana Police Academy in Hyderabad. He emphasized that the separate state of Telangana was achieved through the sacrifices of the youth, who are still waiting for their aspirations to be fulfilled.
Reddy stated, "A people's government has been established with the support of the state residents. The Congress government has filled 30,000 jobs within three months of coming to power and strengthened the Telangana State Public Service Commission. A decision to postpone the Group 2 exam was made in favor of the unemployed. Young job aspirants are preparing for competitive exams with enthusiasm."
Concerning drug and ganja addiction and rising cyber crimes, Reddy declared, "The drug menace should be eradicated with an iron hand. After seeing all the trained officers, I am confident Telangana will soon become a drug-free state. This is not just a job responsibility but an emotional commitment." He urged the police to instill confidence among the public and announced the establishment of residential schools for police children in Hyderabad and Warangal.
"Concrete policing, not cosmetic policing, is essential," Reddy said, stressing that friendly policing is meant for victims, not criminals.
