Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj on Sunday visited the site of a violent incident where shots were fired in a car showroom in the Naraina area of the city. The shooting, which occurred on Friday, September 27, raised serious concerns about security in the capital. Bharadwaj was joined by AAP MLA Durgesh Pathak during his visit.
Speaking to ANI, Bharadwaj questioned the efficacy of the current law and order situation, pointing fingers at the Union Home Minister and the Delhi Lieutenant Governor. 'In a high-end area like Naraina, gangsters enter a car showroom, hold staff at gunpoint, demand a Rs. 5 crore extortion, and fire 24 rounds. This raises questions about the safety of business owners in Delhi,' Bharadwaj stated.
Pathak echoed Bharadwaj's concerns, revealing that the showroom owners had been receiving ransom demands for six months and had filed complaints with authorities to no avail. DCP West Vichitra Veer confirmed the incident, stating that more than 10 rounds were fired and three suspects have been identified.
