Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, on Thursday, firmly dismissed calls for his resignation over the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) land scam allegations. Insisting on his integrity, Siddaramaiah stated that he ascended to his position through popular support, which shields him from detractors.

Siddaramaiah reiterated that his governance is backed by both his conscience and the trust of the people. He referenced spiritual blessings and declared an unwavering commitment to serving his term despite challenges, expressing faith in judicial processes and personal ethics as guiding principles.

The Chief Minister's remarks came after attending Mysuru’s Dussehra festival, where he conducted a puja for Goddess Chamundeshwari. The celebrations featured prominent figures, while the ED has targeted Siddaramaiah in an investigation linked to his wife, Parvathi, over alleged irregular land allotments. The Lokayukta has initiated an inquiry to scrutinize claims of unethical allocations.
