The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament, Narayan Rane, on Tuesday, confidently projected a sweeping victory for the Mahayuti alliance across all three constituencies in Sindhudurg district during the Maharashtra Assembly Elections. Rane, marking Sindhudurg as his 'base,' emphasized his long-standing commitment of 35 years to the district's development.
The Mahayuti alliance features BJP's Nitesh Rane in Kankavli, Shiv Sena's Nilesh Rane in Kudal, and NCP's Deepak Kesarkar in the Sawantwadi constituency. Speaking to ANI, Rane asserted, "We will win all three constituencies. Our efforts in this district for 35 years have fostered significant development, raising citizens' per capita income from Rs 35,000 to Rs 2.5 Lakhs."
Rane also took a jab at Maha Vikas Aghadi, accusing them of deceptive practices and failing to deliver developmental work. Earlier, Deepak Kesarkar, now aligned with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena, filed his nomination for Sawantwadi. Kesarkar has represented the constituency since 2009 and credited the Mahayuti alliance for advanced state infrastructure and industry. As the elections approach on November 20, with results expected on November 23, alligned candidates hold roadshows and file nominations highlighting their development agenda.
