Uttarakhand CM Unveils Sports and Cultural Initiatives
The Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, announced financial support for the Yamuna Valley Sports and Cultural Development Festival in Uttarkashi. The state will host the 2024 National Games in Dehradun and aims to boost youth sports skills with a significant budget allocation. Local cultural preservation efforts were also appreciated.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has announced a grant of Rs 5 lakh for the Yamuna Valley Sports and Cultural Development Festival held in Damta, Uttarkashi district. Dhami expressed pride in Uttarakhand hosting the 2024 National Games in Dehradun.
The national games are slated for January 28 to February 14. The Chief Minister also declared that the Danda Devrana Fair will be featured in the state fair calendar and mentioned plans for a playground and helipad in Tikra Top.
Highlighting the importance of sports, CM Dhami noted a significant budget allocation of over Rs 1.5 thousand crores to enhance youth sports skills. The CM also praised the local communities for their efforts in preserving cultural heritage and fostering sports talent.
