Waaree Renewable Secures Record 2 GW Solar Project

Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd has secured a 2 GW solar project order from Sunbreeze Renewables, a Jindal Renewables SPV. The project will be executed in Bikaner, Rajasthan, integrating advanced technologies to improve energy efficiency. Jindal aims to further expand its renewable energy initiatives in India.

Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd (WRTL) has announced its largest order to date, securing a 2 GW solar project from Sunbreeze Renewables Nine Pvt Ltd, a Special Purpose Vehicle of Jindal Renewables. This ambitious project will be located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, focusing on enhanced energy efficiency through advanced technologies, according to the company's statement.

Bharat Saxena, President of Jindal Renewables, emphasized the strategic partnership with Waaree, noting it as a significant step toward lower emission steel production and part of a broader initiative in renewable energy adoption. Viren C Doshi, Director of WRTL, also expressed enthusiasm about collaborating on the landmark project.

Jindal Renewables is aiming to lead in India's renewable energy sector, with plans for approximately 12 GW of assets by 2030, and steps toward comprehensive de-carbonization solutions.
