Kulgam Police Seize Property in Anti-Terrorism Crackdown

Kulgam Police have seized a property allegedly used by terrorists, marking a significant step in their counter-terrorism operations. The action aligns with the ongoing investigation into terror activities, following a recent attack that killed a retired soldier, intensifying regional security efforts in South Kashmir.

In a decisive effort against terrorism in Kashmir, the Kulgam Police have seized a damaged double-storied residential property under Section 25 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967. The property, linked to case FIR No. 100/2024, allegedly served as a hideout for terrorists, receiving logistic support from its owner, Safdar Ali Dar of Modargam, Kulgam.

The operation was carried out with full legal compliance in the presence of an official police team and the Executive Magistrate. The seized property is now under strict official control, with all transfers and alterations prohibited without prior authority consent, marking a critical milestone in ongoing investigations into unlawful activities.

In a related development, BJP leader Ravinder Raina condemned the recent terror attack in Kulgam, where a retired Army soldier was killed. The attack, which left his wife and niece injured, sparked immediate military action as the Indian Army's Chinar Corps launched a search operation. Regional leaders strongly condemned the violence and reiterated the need for stringent action against terrorism.
