Gujarat has emerged as a leader in fiscal health, achieving a 4.5% reduction in its debt-to-GSDP ratio, the most significant improvement among India's 21 largest states. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel announced the achievement on social media, attributing it to the state's effective financial management under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.
In a post on X, Patel lauded the reduction, as outlined in a paper by NCAER economists, as evidence of Gujarat's financial diligence. Meanwhile, Tripura has also recorded a major success, securing the second-highest GSDP in the Northeast region, announced by Chief Minister Manik Saha during the state's 53rd Statehood Day celebration.
Saha emphasized the pivotal role of peace in Tripura's development and tourism progress. He highlighted Tripura's leap in Sustainable Development Goals, moving from a performer state to a front-runner in 2023-24. With a budget allocation of Rs 28,000 crore, Tripura maintains a revenue surplus essential for continued growth.
