In a stirring address at the 10th Convocation Ceremony of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah urged graduates to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world with ethics and compassion.
Emphasizing the importance of principles, Abdullah highlighted the need for young leaders to not only achieve personal success but also contribute to societal betterment. 'Success is about overcoming challenges and uplifting others,' noted Abdullah, reminding students of their unique position as graduates of an institution named after Mata Vaishno Devi.
Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar, who presided over the ceremony, celebrated the achievements of meritorious students and, alongside his wife, planted saplings in memory of their late mothers at the university campus—a gesture symbolizing growth and legacy.
