Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd and Tata Power's distribution companies have achieved high 'A+' ratings in the Indian government's latest power utility rankings. The ratings are part of the 13th Integrated Rating, assessing utilities based on performance and support factors. Eleven companies earned A+ ratings, highlighting their operational excellence.

Adani Electricity Mumbai Ltd (AEML), along with three Tata Power-led distribution companies, has achieved top 'A+' ratings in the Indian government's list of leading power utilities. This recognition comes from the 13th Integrated Rating and Ranking of Power Distribution Utilities, which highlights the best performers in the sector.
The comprehensive ranking evaluated 63 power utilities across India with 11 securing an A+ rating, showcasing their superior financial and operational performance. Tata's highly rated companies include TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited, TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited, and TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited. Other top performers include several state-based companies like Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited and Noida Power Company Limited.
The rating methodology employs 15 base metrics and nine disincentives, together forming a total score of 100. This comprehensive framework aims to provide an in-depth evaluation of utility performance, considering both internal factors like financial health and external factors such as regulatory and governmental support.
