Building on the momentum of the successful 'No Helmet, No Fuel' campaign, the Gautam Buddh Nagar administration is ramping up efforts to ensure the safety of employees by focusing on the use of seatbelts and helmets. The initiative targets both public and private sector organizations, encouraging compliance to minimize road incident fatalities, according to Assistant Regional Transport Officer Siyaram Verma.
Verma stated to ANI that they plan to engage with government offices and private businesses in the district to promote the safety drive. This comes in light of numerous accidents within the region, with the objective of safeguarding lives amidst the prevalent mishap concerns.
In related developments, Uttar Pradesh's budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 was announced by Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, allocating Rs 8,08,736 crore—a 9.8% increase over the previous year. Priorities in the budget include infrastructure development, healthcare, and education, signifying the state's focus on enhancing public services and fostering economic growth.
The budget earmarks capital expenditure at 20.5% of the total, with significant portions allocated to infrastructure (22%), education (13%), agriculture (11%), and healthcare (6%), underscoring the government's commitment to progress and public welfare.
