Tragedy Strikes: Tunnel Collapse in Srisailam Leaves Workers Trapped

In a tragic incident, a section of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal tunnel in Nagarkurnool district collapsed, trapping eight workers inside. The collapse occurred during morning operations when around 50 workers were present.

According to police reports, while several workers managed to escape the sudden collapse, eight remain missing. Rescuers are focusing their efforts approximately 13 kilometers into the tunnel, where the workers are believed to be trapped.

The trapped workers hail from various regions including Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan. Special rescue teams from Hyderabad are now on the scene, striving to locate the missing individuals. Authorities have not yet received any complaints from the families of the trapped workers.
