Commandos Shine: Maharashtra Tops 15th National Police Competition

The 15th All India Police Commando Competition concluded in Gurugram, with Maharashtra Police claiming victory. The event, hosted by CRPF for the first time, highlighted commando endurance, agility, and tactical skills. NSG won top honors in the sniper competition. Tapan Kumar Deka praised the participants for their exceptional dedication.

The 15th All India Police Commando Competition reached its culmination at the CRPF Group Centre in Gurugram, ending with a grand closing ceremony. Presided over by Tapan Kumar Deka, Director of the Intelligence Bureau and Chairman of the All India Police Sports Control Board, the event celebrated the elite capabilities of India's commandos.

During the competition that began on February 10, 2025, Maharashtra Police emerged as the overall champions, while BSF and ITBP secured the first and second runner-up positions. In a fiercely contested sniper event, the National Security Guard clinched the Gold, with Maharashtra and Rajasthan following with Silver and Bronze. The celebration concluded with esteemed guests presenting the trophies.

Tapan Kumar Deka, addressing the participants, praised their exceptional skills and emphasized the role of commandos as national shields. He commended the dedication and resilience demonstrated by the units and congratulated the CRPF and the All India Police Sports Control Board for a successful event. This year’s edition, marking CRPF's debut as host, witnessed participation from 21 teams, featuring 663 personnel.
