Union Ministers Pralhad Joshi and Piyush Goyal also attended, emphasizing the government's priority towards farmers' welfare. The meeting lasted for nearly three hours, during which central team listened to views presented by farmer leaders Jagjit Singh Dallewal and Sarwan Singh Pandher.

The farmers' delegation communicated their strong arguments for the MSP guarantee, which is considered vital to preventing farmer suicides and enhancing market purchasing power. The next round of discussions is slated for March 19 in Chandigarh.
