On Wednesday, a throng of fervent devotees descended upon Prayagraj's Triveni Sangam, marking the final 'Snan' of the Maha Kumbh in conjunction with the sacred festival of Maha Shivaratri. Senior Superintendent of Police, Rajesh Dwivedi, highlighted the voluminous influx of pilgrims arriving early to partake in this monumental event.

The local police force implemented strategic crowd control measures to avert congestion. Dwivedi assured that Prayagraj's citizens were also participating in large numbers since midnight, with the arrangements in place ensuring a seamless event. Enthusiastic attendees were seen thronging both the holy site and nearby Shiv Mandirs.
