The collapse of the Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel has prompted criticism from BRS MLC K Kavitha, who condemned Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for failing to visit the site and oversee rescue efforts directly.

In an interview with ANI, Kavitha expressed concern over the lack of immediate action taken by the Chief Minister, pressing for an urgent visit. She highlighted the plea for decisive action as rescue teams, including specialist miners from Uttarkashi, work tirelessly to reach the trapped workers, among them a few engineers.

Meanwhile, Telangana Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy assured the public of a well-structured rescue strategy to expedite operations while safeguarding rescuers. Updated plans involve exploring multiple entry points to mitigate risks. Expert miner Munna Qureshi remained optimistic about overcoming challenges, drawing from prior experience in similar operations in Uttarkashi.
