Addressing media concerns, Kadam emphasized, 'The police commenced investigations immediately after the complaint was filed.'

Kadam highlighted the unusual nature of the case, noting that typically, rapists are acquaintances or have previous contact with the victim. He reiterated the state's commitment to enhancing women's safety through recent legislative amendments. This case is unique as the perpetrator is a stranger, he added.

Pune City Police announced an intensified manhunt, offering a Rs one lakh reward for information leading to the capture of suspect Dattatray Ramdas Gade. A combination of 13 dedicated police teams is actively pursuing this investigation, even expanding efforts beyond district boundaries to apprehend the masked assailant.
