Devotees and tourists gathered at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple on Monday to celebrate Rangbhari Ekadashi, heralding the start of the Holi festivities. Rangbhari Ekadashi, celebrated with vibrant colors and deep devotion, sets the stage for the main Holi celebration five days later.

The air was abuzz with excitement at Rangbhari Ekadashi, as participants engaged in the colorful and joyous ceremonies. Meanwhile, the traditional 'Lathmar' Holi began in Nandagaon on Sunday, marking the onset of week-long celebrations in Mathura. Rooted in the legends of Lord Krishna and Radha, this playful tradition involves women from Barsana mock-battling men from Nandagaon.

Lathmar Holi, driven by Krishna and Radha's playful folklore, sees men using shields against women wielding sticks. The event drew a lively crowd to Nandagaon's temple, where Holi bhajans mingled with gulal-laden celebration. Barsana will see mirrored celebrations, with Mathura's festivities culminating in grand cultural events and heightened security measures.
