Sambhal Secures Peaceful Holi with Strategic Measures

Ahead of Holi, Sambhal authorities have covered religious sites along the festival's procession route to prevent unrest. Detentions and security measures are in place to ensure a peaceful celebration. Local officials have organized comprehensive safety preparations, including peace committee meetings and drone surveillance, to maintain order during the festivities.

In preparation for the Holi festival, the local administration in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, has taken preventive measures by covering religious sites, including the Jama Masjid, with tarpaulin sheets. This decision is part of efforts to ensure that the celebrations proceed without incident, safeguarding the sentiments of all communities involved.

Senior police official Shreesh Chandra confirmed that agreements had been reached between various community representatives to cover ten religious places along the traditional Holi procession route. These measures aim to prevent misunderstandings and conflicts during the vibrant festival.

With an eye on maintaining peace, Sambhal's administration has detained over 1,000 individuals under sections 126 and 135. Strategic security arrangements include dividing the district into zones, deploying quick response teams, and implementing advanced surveillance with drones and CCTV cameras.
