Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday commended the Indian armed forces for their precision strikes on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. This response followed the Pahalgam terror attack, reflecting the nation's determination to neutralize threats, he stated.
"The execution of this operation fills every citizen of Himachal with pride," Sukhu shared with media. He affirmed the state's unwavering support for Indian security forces while highlighting Himachal Pradesh's proximity to the Pakistan border through Jammu & Kashmir. The Chief Minister urged vigilance and adherence to directives from the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, discouraging panic.
Sukhu confirmed issuing high-alert instructions to senior officials, police, and district administrations, especially in border areas. He ensured a stance of readiness against any hostile actions. Strategies to enhance intelligence and counter misinformation, particularly from hostile nations via social media, are in motion. Sukhu also mentioned the postponement of his Kullu event due to security advisories, aligning with the state's stringent safety measures.
