India Strikes Back: Operation Sindoor Targets Terror Camps

The Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology, chaired by MP Nishikant Dubey, reviewed the mechanisms to counter fake news. Concurrently, the Indian Armed Forces launched 'Operation Sindoor' against terror camps in Pakistan, following the Pahalgam attacks, ensuring minimal civilian impact.

The Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology, chaired by Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey, convened on Wednesday to address concerns over fake news. In attendance were representatives from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and various media industry stakeholders.

In a social media post, Nishikant Dubey urged media outlets to publish only government-vetted news during the nation's ongoing conflict with Pakistan. Emphasizing patriotism, Dubey stated, "Our committee requested all editors and media channel heads to prioritize national interest by airing verified information during this time."

This announcement coincided with the launch of 'Operation Sindoor' by the Indian Armed Forces. Aimed at dismantling terrorist bases following the Pahalgam terror attack, the operation strategically targeted nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, carefully avoiding civilian harm, as stated by Wing Commander Vyomika Singh during a briefing.
