Sambit Patra, BJP MP, commended the Indian Armed Forces for their role in Operation Sindoor while addressing reporters at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi on Sunday. He quoted PM Narendra Modi's promise to 'avenge' the Pahalgam attack, highlighting the nation's demand for swift action between April 22 and May 7.
Patra emphasized that the Indian military's action exceeded expectations, underscoring PM Modi's assertion that retaliation would be unimaginable for the enemy. India delivered on its promise, once again catching Pakistan by surprise, he said. PM Modi's strong decision-making, coupled with the Armed Forces' valor, has effectively dismantled terror sites.
The precision strikes executed by the Armed Forces on May 7 under Operation Sindoor have uprooted nine principal terror camps linked to groups like JeM, LeT, and Hizbul Mujahideen in Pakistan and PoK. Among these targeted sites, Muridke and Bhawalpur were significant due to their roles as strongholds and training centers for extremists. A notable figure neutralized was Rauf Azhar, a terrorist linked to the IC-814 hijacking conspiracy.
