A district court in Haryana on Tuesday ordered a two-day police custody for Sunil, the suspect in the murder case of Haryanvi model Sheetal Simmi Chaudhary. The Panipat court's decision follows his arrest earlier that day.
According to police reports, Sunil allegedly stabbed Chaudhary and disposed of her body in a canal. Deputy Superintendent of Police Satish Kumar Vats revealed that on June 15, Chaudhary's sister reported her missing, and the next day, a woman's body with knife wounds was found.
Further investigations revealed that Chaudhary had accompanied Sunil to her village, where a confrontation occurred, leading to the fatal incident. Authorities have arrested Sunil and are probing whether more individuals are involved in the case. Meanwhile, a firing incident in Panchkula last week resulted in one fatality.
