The Meghalaya Police have taken decisive steps in the investigation of the murder case of Raja Raghuvanshi, seeking police custody of two key suspects, Sonam Raghuvanshi and Raj Kushwaha. This development follows a court decision to extend their custody for further probing into the case, stated East Khasi Hills SP Vivek Syiem.
SP Syiem explained that the police aim to glean more details from the accused, emphasizing the need to unravel further complexities as the SIT team collaborates with the police in Indore. The police are also keen on recovering a third mobile phone, pivotal to solving the murder mystery.
With significant breakthroughs, including identifying collaborators and transportation details, the police are racing against time to compile a chargesheet before the 90-day window. The case, involving complex trail of events, began with Raja Raghuvanshi's disappearance during his honeymoon, culminating in the tragic discovery of his body.
