Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has hailed the progress of Shiv Sena, describing it as a 'loud voice' for the Marathi people. Addressing a gathering in Mumbai on Shiv Sena Foundation Day, he emphasized the party's resilience and growth over the past 59 years, likening it to a growing 'banyan tree'.

Shinde remarked, "This rally is inspired by Balasaheb's ideas. Shiv Sena represents self-respect, pride, and the essence of the Marathi people." He highlighted the party's challenges and noted the presence of leaders from seven states as evidence of its expanding influence nationwide.

Targeting Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT), Shinde criticized their past electoral performance, claiming their 2024 success was due to Congress' support. He accused Thackeray of 'arrogance' and betraying Balasaheb's ideas, asserting that Maharashtra had never seen such 'treachery'.
