In anticipation of International Yoga Day on June 21, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy expressed that global excitement is palpable. On Friday, a 24-hour countdown event at Hyderabad's Lal Bahadur Stadium saw participation from various dignitaries, highlighting the collective enthusiasm for the occasion.
Thousands gathered, including actors, judges, and military officers, emphasizing the nationwide spirit. Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma and former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu joined the practice, reinforcing a call for widespread participation on the day.
This year marks the 11th observance of International Yoga Day, themed 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health.' Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead a synchronized session in Visakhapatnam, advocating yoga's holistic benefits and fostering unity between mind, body, and nature, a celebration rooted in ancient Indian tradition.
