Union Minister Chouhan Drives Revolutionary Agri Initiative

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan spearheaded a comprehensive review of the 'Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan', aiming to tackle farmers' issues and boost agricultural output. The initiative, featuring extensive village outreach, seeks to enhance production, reduce costs, and improve reserves, aligning with PM Modi's 'Lab to Land' vision.

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan recently led a pivotal meeting to conduct a comprehensive review of the 'Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan'. This nationwide effort aims to address the challenges faced by farmers and boost agricultural production. Over 2,170 teams have traversed the nation, engaging with more than 60,000 villages and 1.45 crore farmers.

During the meeting held at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi, Chouhan underscored the campaign's goal of increasing farming production, lowering costs, and bolstering the country's vegetable and fruit reserves. He highlighted that the initiative had initiated significant dialogues regarding the alignment of research and development with farmers' needs, alongside legal solutions to ground-level challenges.

Chouhan pointed out that discussions for different crops, such as soybean and sugarcane, are planned to enhance production and reduce costs. A two-day conference focusing on the Rabi season and crop-specific strategies aims to further strengthen the agricultural framework. The campaign, described as a 'historic movement', is inspired by PM Narendra Modi's 'Lab to Land' vision, emphasizing sustainable practices and innovation in agriculture.
