Axiom-4 Mission: A Global Space Milestone with India's Shubhanshu Shukla

In a momentous event, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla from India is set to pilot the Axiom-4 Mission to the International Space Station (ISS). The mission, launching from NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, boasts a diverse crew comprising astronauts from India, Poland, and Hungary, highlighting global collaboration.

The families of the astronauts gathered in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, to celebrate this achievement. Asha, Captain Shukla's mother, expressed pride and excitement for her son's pioneering journey, echoing the sentiments of his sister, Nidhi Mishra, who emphasized the mission's significance for India.

Commanding the mission is Peggy Whitson, a former NASA astronaut now leading Axiom Space's human spaceflight division. The four-member team will embark on the fourth private mission to the ISS, conducting extensive scientific research over a two-week stay. Apart from scientific endeavors, the mission aims to foster international cooperation in space technology.
