Uddhav Thackeray Hails Marathi Victory as Three-Language Policy Withdrawn

In a significant political development, Shiv Sena (UBT) Chief Uddhav Thackeray on Monday welcomed the withdrawal of the contentious three-language policy in Maharashtra. Thackeray emphasized the victory of Marathi unity over detractors and confirmed that a new committee led by Narendra Jadhav will subsequently assess the decision, with financial experts already appointed for the education sector's guidance.

Thackeray praised the unprecedented cooperation among political parties with varied ideologies, citing their role in scrapping the government resolution. He warned that had the government not retracted its decision, a massive protest on 5th July would have ensued. The former chief minister also noted an impending influx of leaders from Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's NCP to his camp.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut, a notable party MP, criticized the BJP for what he described as its policy of misinformation, challenging the party to disclose any reports Thackeray supposedly submitted on the three-language debate. Raut questioned BJP's insistence on Hindi as a national policy, rubbing against state interests.
