As the eagerly anticipated Amarnath Yatra prepares to commence on July 3, both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes are primed to host thousands of pilgrims. Local shopkeepers in Baltal, alongside authorities, have confirmed that comprehensive arrangements have been finalized to ensure a seamless experience for all visitors.

Baltal-based shopkeeper, Abdur Rehman Lone, conveyed his enthusiasm, noting that meticulous preparations are in place, including security, marketplaces, and other essential facilities. 'This pilgrimage is vital for our livelihoods, and we welcome pilgrims wholeheartedly,' Lone told ANI.

Adding to the preparations, shopkeeper Syed Shah emphasized the importance of cleanliness and coordination with security forces. 'We prioritize hygiene and security, ensuring visitors face no issues,' Shah elaborated. Meanwhile, in Doda district, heightened security measures are implemented for the Yatra, with 24/7 checks on high alert amid the pilgrimage.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Doda, Ajay Anand, highlighted ongoing security efforts, citing recent recoveries of illicit substances during inspections. Additionally, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chaudhary highlighted the Yatra's significance as a celebration of unity, praising infrastructural developments by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

'This Yatra symbolizes the brotherhood of Jammu and Kashmir,' Deputy CM Chaudhary stated, acknowledging the BRO's track redevelopment efforts. The 38-day pilgrimage will span two routes, with participants departing from Jammu on July 2.
