Delhi Police Busts Cyber Fraud Ring; Five, Including Cops, Arrested

The Delhi Police have dismantled a cyber fraud operation, arresting five individuals, including two police officers, involved in illicit fund transfers totaling Rs 75 lakh. The breakthrough follows an investigation sparked by the suspicious disappearance of a police officer under suspicion.

Irregular activities came to light during the disposal of cases at the Police Station Cyber in the North-East District, prompting the registration of three FIRs against an Investigating Officer who had been missing since March 19. This led to the discovery of Rs 75 lakh being transferred via fraudulent transactions, supported by deceitful court orders from supposed complainants.

A raid in Indore resulted in the arrest of Ankur Malik, a police officer, his associate, and the recovery of cash, gold, and electronics. Subsequent investigations led to three more arrests in Delhi. Authorities confirm ongoing investigations into the case.
