The German Export Finance bank has bolstered the CEF Group with €38 million in funds, aiming to transform waste into compressed biogas across India. The substantial investment marks a pivotal moment for India's cleantech sector.
These funds will contribute to the establishment of two new compressed biogas (CBG) plants. CEF Group envisions constructing 22 such facilities, in line with India's SATAT (Sustainable Alternative Towards Affordable Transportation) scheme, to produce clean alternatives to fossil fuels.
CEF Group, founded in 2018, has focused its efforts on converting diverse waste forms into clean fuel, essentially fostering a circular economy. The company's CEO, Maninder Singh, emphasized their mission of empowering rural economies and advancing energy independence in India.
