In a unified effort to bolster the Swachh Bharat Mission, Delhi Mayor Raja Iqbal Singh and BJP MLA Satish Upadhyay took part in a cleaning drive at Aurobindo Market in Delhi's Green Park area. Singh commended Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for her relentless push to advance the mission initially launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Singh recalled the Prime Minister's call on August 15, 2014, for a cleaner India and acknowledged Gupta's appeal urging all Delhiites to contribute towards this goal. Expressing admiration for the Delhi Municipal Corporation's proactive steps, Singh highlighted their key role in tackling the city's garbage woes.
MLA Satish Upadhyay echoed similar sentiments, praising Gupta's initiative to rid Delhi of garbage from August 1 to August 30, and emphasizing that health is contingent upon cleanliness. He lauded the municipal efforts and expressed gratitude towards Delhi's leadership for galvanizing citizens into action.
