Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a public address in Varanasi on Saturday, extolled the effectiveness of India's indigenous weaponry used in Operation Sindoor. He revealed plans for the local production of Brahmos missiles in Lucknow, applauding the country's air defense systems for warding off Pakistani drones and missiles during the operation.
Modi emphasized the strength of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat', attributing success to India's self-reliance in defense. He noted the establishment of manufacturing plants by major defense companies in the Uttar Pradesh defense corridor, asserting that 'Made in India' armaments will soon bolster national security forces.
In what was his 51st visit to his parliamentary constituency, Modi dedicated the success of Operation Sindoor to Lord Mahadev, referencing a personal vow to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack. He declared that any adversary daring to affront India would not be forgiven, underscoring a vow to safeguard the nation.
