Kanwar Yatra Mishap: Pilgrims Suffer Injuries from High Voltage Wire

Four pilgrims were injured during a 'kanwar yatra' in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, when a flagpole they carried accidentally touched a high voltage railway wire. The incident, caught on CCTV, happened as the group returned from collecting sacred water. Two of the injured are in critical condition.

Four men participating in a 'kanwar yatra' in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, sustained burn injuries when a flagpole they were carrying came into contact with a high voltage railway wire on Monday, a police official reported.

The accident occurred near the Chhindwara road railway crossing as the group was returning to Bhoma village after collecting sacred water from the Wainganga river, according to Kotwali station house officer Kishore Wamankar.

The mishap, captured on a CCTV camera near a local temple, resulted in two of the pilgrims being critically injured and transferred to a medical facility in Nagpur.
