This batch, which received their B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees in 2000, holds a historic significance as the pioneers of the institute. Their academic journey began in a provisional setup within the Institute of Engineers Building and transitioned to the current sprawling campus by the Brahmaputra River.
Director of IIT Guwahati, Prof. Devendra Jalihal, and other faculty members welcomed the alumni at an Open House event. They shared experiences and offered guidance to current students. Dean of Alumni and External Relations, Prof. Sumana Dutta, highlighted the crucial role alumni play in the institute's success.
