In Tripura's Bishramganj area, a troubling case of harassment unfolded when a young air hostess was allegedly molested by a male passenger on a bus. This incident caused unrest, culminating in vandalism at the Bishramganj motor stand.

The air hostess, aged 19, who arrived from Guwahati to Agartala, faced obscenities from the man seated beside her around 7:30 pm. Upon contacting her family, they quickly headed to the motor stand to confront the perpetrator. However, he reportedly fled before the bus reached the stand.

Enraged by the man's escape, a crowd gathered and vandalized the bus, shattering its windows in a show of anger. Swift intervention by police forces from Bishramganj and Bishalgarh, alongside the District Superintendent, helped defuse the situation, ensuring public safety. Authorities have launched a manhunt for the suspect, while an investigation is underway.
