Five Years Later: Court Grants Bail in Delhi Assault Case Amidst Investigation Lapses

The accused had been held in judicial custody since September 26, 2020, on charges including murder and criminal conspiracy. The case relates to an assault on Jagdish, who died shortly after being attacked while returning home.

Advocate Ravi Drall, representing the accused, argued that further investigation was unnecessary given the lengthy detention and the fact that all key witnesses have been examined. The court noted lapses in the police investigation as a factor influencing the decision to grant bail.
