Political Tensions Mount as INDIA Bloc Plans Protest March

The Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dilip Ghosh launched a scathing attack on the INDIA bloc's decision to organize a march from Parliament to the Election Commission on Monday. The march is meant to protest alleged discrepancies in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in poll-bound Bihar and purported vote theft in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Ghosh particularly took aim at Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, claiming opposition leaders have long engaged in misleading the public with unsubstantiated accusations against the Election Commission. According to Ghosh, these claims have consistently been proven wrong, and Monday's planned demonstration is just another attempt at distraction.

Even as the INDIA bloc gears up for its march, expected to start at 11:30 AM from Makar Dwar in Parliament, Delhi Police noted that no permission has been requested for such a protest. Concurrently, both houses of the Parliament are poised for a hectic day with a full schedule involving the review of committee reports, ministerial speeches, and significant legislative agendas.
