The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) announced the promotion of Amit Pradhan, Avneesh Pandey, and Sanjay Chandrakant Purao to the positions of executive directors. Each brings a wealth of experience and expertise to their new roles, marking significant leadership transitions at the regulatory body.
Amit Pradhan, previously the Chief General Manager and Regional Director of SEBI's Northern Regional Office, will now handle legal affairs as well as the prosecution and settlement department. Pradhan has been with SEBI for about 28 years, contributing to legal regulation, policy development, and more.
Avneesh Pandey, known for his technological acumen, will oversee the organization's information technology department. Sanjay Chandrakant Purao, with extensive experience in finance and market regulation since 1996, will head the corporation finance investigation department. This strategic revamp aims to bolster SEBI's regulatory effectiveness.
