In a shocking turn of events, a 72-year-old man was reportedly shot by his grandsons in the Turkman Gate area of Delhi, early on Tuesday morning, amid a long-standing property dispute, according to police sources. The incident was recorded at the Chandni Mahal police station. The victim, Shahbuddin, sustained a gunshot wound and was treated at LNJP Hospital, where he is currently stable, confirmed officials.
The preliminary investigation suggests that Shahbuddin, along with his son and grandsons, have been involved in a prolonged dispute over property. Authorities have registered an attempt to murder case and are actively seeking the alleged shooters.
In another violent episode, a man, identified as Sitamber Prasad, was fatally stabbed in Shahbad Dairy during a heated altercation over Diwali firecrackers. The incident occurred at around 12:22 AM, following reports received by the Shahbad Dairy police station. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation, successfully arresting three suspects with efforts continuing to nab a fourth absconder.
