ECI Deploys Senior Observers for Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills Bye-Election

The Election Commission of India has appointed three senior officers to oversee the Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency bye-election in Hyderabad, ensuring a fair electoral process. Key election dates include nominations by October 21, polling on November 11, and counting on November 14.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday appointed a triumvirate of senior officers to oversee the forthcoming bye-election in Hyderabad's Jubilee Hills Assembly Constituency. Tasked with ensuring a smooth, transparent, and impartial electoral process, these officers will closely monitor general arrangements, law and order, and election expenditure.

Designated for specific roles, Ranjit Kumar Singh will serve as the General Observer, Om Prakash Tripathy as the Police Observer, and Sanjiv Kumar Lal as the Expenditure Observer. This initiative follows the formal announcement of the election schedule by the ECI, further underlining its commitment to a rigorous monitoring framework.

According to the EC, nominations must be filed by October 21, with scrutiny on October 22, and withdrawal by October 24. The actual polling is set for November 11, whilst counting will conclude on November 14, wrapping up the whole election process by November 16. This marks part of a larger exercise encompassing by-elections in multiple states, including Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Telangana, Punjab, Mizoram, and Odisha.
