A minor fire erupted Tuesday afternoon in a multi-storey building within New Delhi's Rashtrapati Bhawan Complex, officials reported. Originating in Flat No. 19 of Narmada Apartment adjacent to Gate No. 31, the blaze prompted the immediate dispatch of fire tenders to the scene.
According to fire service authorities, the situation was contained by 2:15 PM. Meanwhile, on Saturday, a separate fire incident occurred in the Staff Quarter block of MPs' Flats at Brahmaputra Building, BD Marg. Per the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, this incident started in a silt area where disposed furniture was stored for removal.
The blaze on Saturday ignited at around 1:15 PM, attributed to children lighting firecrackers nearby.
