In a proactive move, the Ministry of Steel, alongside its Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), is actively participating in the fifth edition of the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) running from October 2 to October 31.
This initiative strategically focuses on streamlining governance processes by effectively addressing an array of pending issues. These include communications from Members of Parliament, the Prime Minister's Office, prominent cabinet members, state governments, CPGRAMS cases, among other critical categories.
According to a recent release, the Ministry has achieved notable progress, with 96 percent of public grievance redressal targets met thus far. In a testament to its commitment, the Ministry has successfully weeded out 8,525 physical files, conducted 195 cleanliness drives out of a planned 282, and liberated approximately 9,851 square feet of office space by disposing of obsolete materials, including scrap and e-waste. The Ministry's efforts highlight its dedication to enhancing efficiency, promoting cleanliness, and aligning with broader administrative reform and transparency goals.
