In a decisive move, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed the closure of transport check posts statewide, urging officials to redeploy check post staff to other duties. The instruction aims to streamline operations and enhance service efficiency, as noted in a press release from the Chief Minister's Office.

The Chief Minister also made a heartfelt plea to active Maoist leaders to surrender and embrace a peaceful life, highlighting the significant strides made by the state in reducing Maoist and terrorist activities thanks to the efforts of the Telangana Police. At the Police Commemoration Day, CM Reddy lauded the police force for its contribution to public safety and community trust.

With the establishment of a Cyber Security Bureau and a 'Drug-Free' initiative led by the newly formed 'Eagle' force, Telangana sets a national precedent in addressing emerging security challenges. CM Reddy also emphasised police welfare, announcing substantial financial support and creating special educational institutions for police personnel's families, ensuring a robust law enforcement environment.
