The Patiala House Court has extended the police custody of two ISIS operatives, both named Adnan Khan, for three more days. The extension follows their appearance after initial custody, with charges linked to a foiled terror plot targeting a South Delhi mall and a public park.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Shreya Agarwal ordered the continuation of custody until October 30. The duo, arrested separately by Delhi Police's Special Cell from Delhi and Bhopal, will next appear before a duty magistrate. A bail application is pending for the Bhopal suspect, with discussions set for October 31.
The police maintain that further interrogation is critical, particularly in extracting data from mobile phones and examining social media involvement. Defense counsel challenged the custody extension, questioning the legal proceedings that took place late at night.
