Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has launched the official jersey for the eagerly anticipated Kashmir Marathon 2025. Urging fitness enthusiasts to participate, Abdullah noted the event's rising popularity, with registrations, particularly from international athletes, doubling since last year.

The marathon will commence with the full race at 6 am, followed by the half marathon at 6:30 am. Acknowledging this year's remarkable registration numbers, Abdullah extended an open invitation for last-minute entries, emphasizing the chance for participants to test their endurance in the scenic settings of Kashmir.

In a separate statement, Abdullah robustly defended his administration's choice to dismiss a bill that aimed to grant property rights over illegal constructions on government land. He criticized the proposed legislation as a means for political gain by opposition parties ahead of upcoming elections, reaffirming his commitment to protecting the interests of Jammu and Kashmir's residents.
