A devastating road accident in the early hours of Saturday claimed the lives of five individuals from Kolar district, Karnataka, including two children. The incident occurred in Kotekal village of Emmiganur taluk, Kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh.
Srinivas, Sub-Inspector of Yemmiganuru Rural Police Station, confirmed that the victims, comprising two men, a woman, and two children, were traveling from Chikkahosalli village toward the Raghavendra Swamy Temple in Mantralayam. Tragically, their vehicle collided head-on with another car, resulting in an immediate fatal outcome for all five occupants.
The other vehicle's occupants sustained injuries and were swiftly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. Further details are awaited as inquiries continue.
